This is me on a recent tramping (i.e. hiking) trip in Tongariro National Park, North Island. The scenery was awesome: craggy volcanic rocks and terrain, with steaming vents and emerald-coloured mineral lakes. In the background (top right, poking through clouds) is Ngauruhoe, aka Mt. Doom out of Lord of the Rings film.
Will update again when I begin my bike tour soon...
